In the Bible it says this about Jesus, “And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.” (Colossians 1:18closeColossians 1:18 18 And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. (ESV) )
It may sound a bit abstract, but we believe Jesus leads the church. He uses people like us who are influenced by his Holy Spirit to do it…but it’s his invention and from what we’ve learned, he’s got every intention of leading it.
Adam Bradshaw, Lead Pastor
Adam grew up surfing, skating, and playing tennis in sunny Daytona Beach, FL. He came to faith at a very young age, but by high school, was burnt by Christians and had lost interest in the church and its message. A move to Norfolk, VA during his senior year in high school led him to Perrin. One glance in typing class and he’s never quite recovered. God used her love without strings attached to restore Adam’s faith in Christ and in the redemptive potential for authentic biblical community lying dormant in the local church. Throughout their 17 years of marriage and ministry together, Adam and Perrin have done their best to meet people on their age or place on the spiritual spectrum—whether close or feeling far from God—leading them toward a life long relationship with Jesus Christ.
Adam is known for his sense of humor and honesty in teaching and holds a Master of Divinity from Bethel Seminary. He believes “it’s a sin to bore a kid” and their parents too. Adam and Perrin love to laugh with friends, eat great food, and do anything active and fun with their kids Luke, Zoë, and Lilly. They also have 4 deceased goldfish, post far too many pictures of their kids on Instagram, and had to Google a “Buckeye” to learn what it was. Email Adam.

Northchurch, and more specifically, the Lead Pastor are overseen by a governing board. The board governs the church, working with the staff team to set “ends” for the lead pastor/staff to be measured against, to grant power to accomplish these ends, and to verify performance.
