Casual

Dress how you want to dress. While we do take God and His word seriously, we’re committed to removing the obstacles that keep people from engaging with Him. You’re welcome here in your “everydayness” – because that’s where we want to follow God – out there, every day. Not just in church.

Jesus to Show Up

There are many reasons why we gather as a church, but the main one is to encounter, worship, learn about and be changed by Jesus. Each week, we’re going to be challenged by His words, His life, and the way He treated others, and we’ll have opportunities to respond to that. Each week, we’re going to ask Him to join us, lead us and change us. It seems almost crazy that we can boldly ask the God of universe, the one who puts the stars in their places, to come into our meeting and speak to us. But He promises to do just that, and so we are going to invite Him to come every single time we meet.

Fun and Laughter

When you walk into northchurch, you can expect to have some fun and to laugh. Life is already serious and hard enough. We are going to do our best to not take ourselves too seriously and to crack a few jokes while we’re at it. There’s plenty of ways to have fun at church, and we’re going to take full advantage of them.

Real People

You can expect to find people who are real, honest, and who don’t have it all together. People who genuinely love Jesus, who have put all their eggs in His basket, and who are being changed by Him. We want you to know that you are welcome as you are. We aren’t perfect – so please don’t expect us to be – and we won’t expect you to be either.

Kids’ Programs

You can expect a safe & secure environment for your kids (every adult who helps out has gone through an application & background check process). Did we mention active, goofy & messy? They’re going to play, paint, sing, watch, listen, dance… and, yes, learn about the Bible in the process. But don’t tell them. They won’t believe you — how could it be that much fun?

Coffee

Yes, we provide coffee. Good coffee. On the house. We also offer tea for those looking for a slightly less caffeinated option.
