It’s a step…
Take a deep breath. You have not just signed up to teach the next 16 weeks in our
two year old class. You’re just checking for information about volunteering and we
want to give you the low-down. Around here, volunteers are worth their weight in gold.
Together, our volunteer teams work to make each week run and we depend on them to
do everything from making coffee to setting up the stage to welcoming a new family. It’s
a lot of work and it’s a lot of fun.
One of our values is “everyone plays”. We want people to have space to contribute,
to build community, and to offer their life to God in meaningful ways. That being said,
we also have a value of “all in process”, which means we’re each at a different place
in our journey, so HOW we get involved will be different. Sometimes we’re in a place
of moving towards wellness. Sometimes we’re looking to go outward with our faith.
Sometimes we want to help others.
We want to help you get involved. Please help us by communicating with us
about where and how that can happen. Take a look at the options we’ve got
below:
Kids
- Toddler and Infant Caregivers
- Sundays 9:30am – 11:30am, once monthly.
Requires: Completed Background Check. Most important a loving heart. The preparation is minimal and the rewards are great!

Middle School
- Sunday A.M Coordinator
- This role will work with the director to finalize curriculum for Sunday mornings from the Live framework. They will also set up teachers and guest speakers for Sunday mornings and work with the director and Carla Meyer to formulate a schedule for Kidsworld and NCS integration.
- Sunday P.M Coordinator
- This role will work with the director to schedule, plan, and execute Sunday evening middle school events twice a month. One event will be focused on outreach as a group in form of providing a service. The other event will be a fun evening of student/adult collaboration and outreach for new students.
- Sunday A.M Leader
- This is for the person that loves to help lead on a Sunday morning but does not want the coordinator responsibilities. This can, and hopefully will, be multiple people/couples. Don’t worry about planning, all the resources will be provided for you! Just love and pour into kids.
- Event Planner
- This is for the person that loves to plan events (as if you didn’t know that after reading the title). This role will work closely with the director to coordinate events such as but not limited to 1) Amusement park trip 2) Youth Conference/Missions

High School
- 9-12 Coordinator
- This role will work with the director to help carry out the high school vision, establish small group leaders, and event leaders. Work with the director to partner with Younglife and also provide a substantial NC High option.
- Small Group Leaders
- This role consists of individuals or couples that are interested in leading a NC High small group, whether it is all high school students or split male/female that time.
- Event Time
- This role(s) consists of individuals or couples that want to lead outreach or mission events for NC High.

Care
- Prayer Team
- This team is made of up of people that understand that there is great power in prayer and love to bring situations and people before God through prayer. There are lots of different opportunities here…you can pray by yourself, in a group, silently, out loud…so don’t be afraid that you’ll be shoved way out of your comfort zone. As long as your heart is willing, we’ll teach you the rest.
- Meals Team
- Sometimes meeting the basic need of feeding someone can be a really big help. This team provides meals for individuals and families experiencing some kind of stress. No cooking experience required! While homemade meals are great and most definitely welcome, take-out and delivery are just as helpful.
- Handyman Team
- All those that can fix stuff, mow grass, and do some general maintenance are needed here!
- Odds and Ends Care Team
- Are you willing to do pretty much anything Care related? Prayer, babysitting, meals, spread some mulch, give a ride to an appointment…if you’re able and available you’re up for it? If so, this is the team for you!

Sunday
- Spotlight Team
- Sundays 9:45-11:15am, once monthly.
Minimal training required – attentive people needed to keep the main spotlight trained on whomever is leading or teaching during the service. Note: this job does not require missing the service. Great opportunity for high school students who need to fill service club hours! - Info Desk/Kiosk
- Sundays 9:00am – 11:30am, once monthly.
Requires: Completed Background Check (get the form at the info desk on Sundays or start by filling out this application), Every other month you are asked to stay at the desk throughout the service (*the service can be heard in the lobby) - Coffee Team
- Sundays 8:00am – 11:15am, once monthly, not required to miss service!
- Greeters
- Sundays 9:20am – 10:10am, once monthly, not required to miss service!
- Usher
- Sundays 9:20am – 11:20am, once monthly, serving in the sanctuary

- Sundays 9:30am – 10:10am, once monthly, not required to miss service!
Requires: Completed Background Check (get the form at the info desk on Sundays or start by filling out this application) - Setup/Tear Down Team
- Sundays 7:45am – 12:00pm, once monthly, requires light lifting. Not required to miss service.
- Truck Drivers
- Sundays 7:45am – 12:30pm, once monthly. Able to drive a 26′ box truck standard or automatic. CDL not required. Not required to miss service.
